In 2009 I haven't had a trip as exciting as the one to India. But we went to Nebraskas in April to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. I enjoy getting a chance to see my 7 siblings, their spouses, by 21 nieces and nephews and the evergrowing number of great nieces and nephews

Sounds like you had a great trip. How exciting to see all or most of your family gathering together.
Pam,
I think it's great to be able to celebrate a birthday and visit with most of your family. I remember when I was in the 7th grade right before September 11th happened, going with my little brother, aunt, and uncle up to New York for my grandmother's 70th birthday party. It was a surprise party and all of my family down here in North Carolina (except our mom and dad) all went up there. And, boy, was she surprised!! We left the Friday before her birthday and got there to the hotel that night, had her party on Saturday, and came home on Labor Day that Monday. I think that was the last time my grandma got to see us all before she started getting Alzheimer's.

I am from nebraska. How did you like it? i miss it. What city did you go to? I am orginally from South Sioux City. Grew up there and raised my daughter there untill she was 3
I grew up north of Grand Island - between St. Libory and Worms - on a farm. My mom still lives on the farmhouse she and dad moved into when they married (my dad has passed away).
